I think the electric car has a future, but I'm not sure if I should invest in shares of the company that produces them. Zap Securities Code: zaap.ob or ZAAP.

I would not.
They have never been a profit. That the ROE and ROA terrible.
I realized that Al Yousuf invested in this company last November. And the directors of the company seem to be buying back shares, which is a good sign.
But at the end of the intrinsic value (based on the story, of course) for ZAP's terrible.
Losing the investment of money he is willing to completely (which must mean a very small amount). If it grows by 33% in the price, twice his position ... another 33% twice. If you're right, you make good money and reduce your risk and at low cost.
Another clue is that London seems to contribute to building an infrastructure for electric cars is a sign that the strong support of the Government, if available.
But keep in mind that Honda introduction of a large fuel-cell passenger car market this year. So take off even when traditional cars, it would be difficult for ZAP to compete with Honda.
It is a shame because I like the company paidtion alternative to the car (which includes all kinds of options for fuel cell hybrid electric)-administration. It really sounds like an innovative company. However, financial decisions, information on financial and information will remain based said path to ... for now.
